Sammy and I had a lot of fun working on this new Kiddo Tee and we would like to share it with you today.  He watched me closely while working on each step of his t-shirt and he was eager to be in the pictures (as you might notice anyway).  Hope you will enjoy it as well! It could be a cute weekend DIY project! :) Happy Friday!

For the Kiddo Tee you will need: THIS downloadable Fawn template, a white blank tee, a piece of cardboard (not pictured), two or more brushes (in different sizes), fabric paint and a pencil.

KIDDO TEE DIY / fawn - suppliesSteps:

1. Print the FAWN template (free for personal use only. do not sell).  Insert the paper inside the tee, make sure to keep it centered. Start tracing the outline with a pencil.

2. Before you begin painting, place a piece of cardboard inside the tee to prevent the paint from bleeding through. Carefully, start painting the tee with the fabric paint. Let it dry according to the amount of time indicated on your paint bottle.  Some paints might require ironing the back of the painted area for a longer hold.

3. Have fun!! :)

KIDDO TEE DIY / Bird

I have not done a ‘kiddo tee’ DIY project for a while now, but here is a new one and we really like the way it turned out.  We really love birds, or as Sammy likes to call them “bir”, and this time I thought of an easy way to draw on the tee by using the stencil method.  Hope you will enjoy it!

This is what you will need:
kiddo tee - suppliesSteps:
Print this FREE BIRD PRINTABLE* on a sticker paper sheet and then cut the inside out using the scissors or the craft knife.  Once you have finished cutting, remove the back of the sticker, center the drawing on the tee and stick it.

kiddo tee - steps (1)
Before you begin painting, make sure to insert a cardboard or a plastic board inside the tee so that the paint will not bleed through to the other side.  Follow the directions stated on your fabric paint package and start painting using a sponge brush.  Be careful with the thinner sticker lines.  You can try a few layers of paint after each one dries to make the color thicker.  Once the drawing is dry, remove the sticker sheet and add any final touches with a smaller brush.kiddo tee - steps (2)
Some fabric paints require ironing the drawing using the “cotton” setting on your iron.  You can stencil the drawing in many colors according to your preferences.  Have fun!! :) kiddo tee DIY / birdkiddo tee DIY / birdkiddo tee DIY / bird

KIDDO TEE DIY // Mr. Fox

kiddo tee diy / mr. foxI am back with a new cute kiddo tee DIY project.  I had so much fun taking pictures of my little, silly and always on the move boy!
Here are the supplies that you will need: 1. A blank tee; 2. Cardboard; 3. THIS “Mr. Fox” printable; 4. A pencil; 5. A Fabric Marker (non toxic).  The marker I used is called “Tee Juice” by “Jacquard” and has a thick end leaving the drawing’s lines a little rough, but I liked the feel for this specific tee.  You can always use a thinner fabric marker and have thinner lines as well.kiddo tee diy / mr. fox - supplieskiddo tee diy / mr. fox - steps
Step 1: Insert the printed paper inside the tee, try to center it and start tracing the outline with a pencil.
Step 2: Insert the cardboard inside the tee, behind your drawing; this will protect the back of the tee.  Follow the directions stated on your marker package and start painting.
Step 3: Let the drawing dry completely. For washability, I fixed my drawing by ironing it for 2-3 minutes using the “cotton” setting on my iron.
That’s it! Have fun!! :)kiddo tee diy / mr. foxkiddo tee diy / mr. fox
