We had a little fun today making valentines for a few of Sammy’s friends. I printed out a heart template that I created for him and he started by coloring the prints with watercolors and crayons. I used a thicker paper for printing. If you would like to download them and use them for your kiddos [or yourself ;)], I made them available HERE. Besides the coloring supplies, we had on our hands some scissors, glue, craft eyes, metallic brads and a hole puncher.
I had to help him cut all the shapes and he really enjoyed gluing the eyes and making many little holes with the puncher. We also left a few hearts without hands and legs because, again, just making little round holes in them it’s way more fun!
Have you made any fun crafty valentines this week? Please do share below in the comments with a link. We would love to see! xx
Did you start packing gifts yet? As a yearly tradition, I created these new gift tags* for you to use if you’d like. You can see the ones from 2012 here, and the ones from 2011 here.
~ Download THIS file to print and cut out.
~ I used gold gouache to paint the sides of the cards. I just love the combination of white, gold and craft paper brown. You can also use any other color that will match your ribbon or thread.
~ Use a hole punch for each tag and add ribbon or thread.
This is one of the craft activities that Sammy and I have been doing these past days. I drew, painted, cut and put together these little colored bunnies to make his color learning a little more fun while playing with them. I used thick paper, my watercolors, a little round puncher and metallic colored brads. I know there are many great supplies out there for color learning, but it was fun making something a little more personal since he likes bunnies lately. I want to make some other animals that he can color himself or paint with his watercolors.
Hope that you’re having a colorful week! xx
